Philippines really, really hated Tuesdays.

Amiah considered Tuesday to be the worst day of the week. Nothing good happened on Tuesdays.

With a sigh, She rolled out of your stiff bed onto the floor. Glancing up at the clock, Philippines had 20 minutes to get ready for the day. Amiah had over slept (again). With a loud groan, She crawled to the bathroom. Taking a quick shower, she managed to get all your bathroom things done in less than ten minutes. Clothing was the easiest part, because Philippines had to wear a uniform anyways. Now finding a clean one was the true challenge.

After locating a somewhat clean top, She looked in the mirror. Amiah didn’t realize that your hair was quite a mess. With another loud groan She marched her way back into the bathroom. Amiah hated her hair sometimes. While attempting to fix the frizzy mess, Philippines managed to loose track of time.

Amiah was going to be late for school. In fact, class had started ten minutes ago. Her brother,  Kuya Luzon was yelling at her but Amiah didn’t really care. She was going to force her to walk to school as a punishment, even though it was nearly a mile and a half away.

In a panic, Philippines dashed out of her home. This is why Tuesdays sucked. They were always bad. You could never look forward to a good Tuesday.

She ran for some of the way, but it was no use, Amiah was going to be late anyways. She had another good forty minutes to walk,  and she figured she wouldn’t stress over it and get all sweaty and mess up her hair (which you had spent too much time on.) Philippines sighed as she forgot her coat. It was cold and cloudy.

“I hate you Tuesday!” Amiah cried shaking your fist into the air. As Philippines walked, She observed her surroundings.. The girl was hoping it would rain so it could clear away all the dirt around her town.

But she didn’t want it to rain now.

Too bad for her.

Philippines' eyes got large as big raindrops started to fall on her.

“Nooo.” Amiah moaned covering herself with her backpack. Could this morning get any worse?

“Glad I’m not the only one running late. Aw, did you forget an umbrella?” Amiah quickly turned around to see a tall blond boy. He gave a large, mocking smile. Her heat speed up and she couldn’t help but to give a small smile. This was just what she were hoping for.

However, Amiah couldn’t let him know that. Her smile quickly turned into a frown.

“Dumb Alfred! Shut up!” She yelled at him clenching her fists. Alfred was much taller then you, with the most beautiful blue eyes. He had glasses with perfect blond hair. The Filipina’s dream boy. Philipines glared at him as he approached her. He extended his head and rubbed your head, as if the little nation were a cat.

Did he just touch my hair?

“I’m going to stab you with a fork!” Amiah yelled at him in anger. Her wonderful hair which made her as late as she were, was just touched and messed up, by the stupid tall American. He laughed and put the umbrella over the two of you. You were about to complain then realize how pleasant it was not to get wet.

“So what’s your excuse for being late today? Did you sleep in?” He asked looking down at you.

“It was Tuesday! I swear! Tuesday hates me!” Philippines yelled clenching her fists. She put her backpack back on and stood closer to the American.

“Piri, you can’t blame everything on Tuesdays. It’s a bad excuse dude.” He said shaking his head. Amiah shrugged. She didn’t really care anyways. It was the truth.

“Yeah right, Kuya.” Alfred shot her a sly smile, making her turn away, her face red. If someone asked to described the Filipina's relationship with the American, you could only say it was undefinable. She were more than friends, but less than lovers. It would be a lie if she said she didn’t have some sort of feelings towards him, but she were just so stubborn that no matter what, Amiah couldn’t get herself to actually admit such feelings out loud. But lately, everything he did was making her jumpy, and her heart beat fast. Little Piri couldn’t describe it-- this terrible yet wonderful feeling.

“What about you, why were you late?” Philippines asked. He shrugged.

“I didn’t do my homework for first period, so I decided that I just wouldn’t show up.” You facepalmed.

“Is England mad at you, Kuya?” You asked curiously.

“Naww, he gets up in the mornings very early so he just don’t know.”  That just wasn’t fair.

“Why are you deciding to show up now? Amiah asked, confused. Alfred sometimes just didn’t make any sense to her.

“Well, I was staring out the window, thinking about how much I didn’t want to go to school, then I saw you walk by and figured walking with you would make it worth going to school. I made a true sacrifice to walk with her.” He said in a joking tone. He nudge her in the shoulder, making her bite your lip and look away.  Philippines would be lying if she said it was a coincidence that she walked by his house.

“Would you like to go to a scary movie?, This friday.” He asked her, snapping the girl out of her thoughts. Amiah looked at him and nodded. Every friday, she and all her friends get together at Alfred’s house to watch truly terrifying movies. The Filipina actually really, really, loved scary movies, but it gave Alfred the excuse to hold your hand, so she dealt with it. Cuddling was worth the horror (although she’d never admit it).

“Yeah sure. But this time, can we not invite Kuya Italy? He nearly wet his pants last time, and he screams too loud.” Amiah said rolling your eyes at the thought of the dumb Italian. Alfred burst out into laughter, thinking about last scary movie night.

“Yeah. Maybe it could be like, just me and you. Or something.” Philippines' face went slightly pink. Not knowing what to say,she bumped into him on purpose, as if that meant yes. As she bumped into him, her chilly skin touched his hands.

“Holy crap Piri! You’re so cold! Like a freaking ice cube!” He said handing her the umbrella. Confused, Amiah watched him take off his school sweater. her face updated from pink to red. He handed it to her.

Why was he so hot. You were dying just looking at him. right? hehe

“Here, put this on!”

“No way!” she yelled back, stepping back.

“Come on Piri, just wear it! You’re going to get sick or something!”

“No!” She said shaking your head. This was too embarrassing! No! No! No!

“Geesh bro.” He said knocking the umbrella from her hands. It fell on the ground with a thump. He grabbed her and held you in place as he attempted to put the over sized sweater on with one hand. Philippines didn’t struggle very much, secretly enjoying the embrace. He finally managed to get it on her. He took a step back to get a good look at her. The sweater was even a bit big on Alfred, making it beyond extra large. It covered Amiah's skirt, making her look like she didn’t have any pants on. The little nation held her hands to her red face. The sweater smelled just like the American. He just gave a nod, as if he was approving the outfit.

“See, that wasn’t very hard was it?” He said picking the umbrella back up. She shrugged, crossing your arms. His mouth dropped, and he pulled out his phone.

“Holy cow it’s perfect! This looks like it came directly out of an anime! I have to capture this!” He squealed, taking a photo of her. Amiah clenched her fists and tried to punch his stomach. He just stood there and laughed as he took more photos of her. Your punches did  damaged , making sure she got a good feel of his “hot bod” as he liked to call it. But then again, He was an undeafeted champion at boxing! But they didn't have a brawl between the two. (look up in google, Mayweather.)

“Damnit.” Philippines said huddling back under the umbrella. You both walked, as Alfred laughed at her.

“You’re really adorable sometimes, did you know that?” He said to her. She turned away, running a hand through her now messy hair. Amiah was going to get revenge for this all.

“Shut up.” she said as he moved to her other side. Curiously, she glanced at him. Why did he move to the other side of her? It was silent for a few moments, before Alfred did something daring. Without even asking, Alfred leaned over with his free hand and picked her cold hand with his large, warm one. He interlocked her fingers with his.

“Alfred?” She asked in a sweeter, softer tone. He didn’t look at her, but instead looked forward. His face looked slightly embarrassed? Was the cool American... blushing? With a slight smile, She slowly closed her hand on his. You decided not to question this, moved closer to him.

“I know I pretend like I hate you sometimes.” The Filipina said slowly, glancing up at him. He looked at her, a confused expression.

“Yeah?”

“But it’s only because I like you.”

“I know.” He said nuzzling his head next to hers. Finally, They  reached school. Before she walked in, she looked at him, letting go of his hand.

“You’re still stupid though, Kuya.” Amiah said turning around. Right before she opened the door, he grabbed her hand again.

“Good.” He said turning her around. He kissed her nose before she dashed in, her face red.

“Argh! Stop that! You know I'm not a child anymore like we used to..”

She rushed as fast as could to class, thinking that maybe Tuesdays weren’t so bad after all.
